Conquest?

People often see life as a competition, they say deep in their heart “I win if I have the most toys, trophies, money, followers, fans, etc.…. etc”. Here is the truth, if that is what you base your life on you ultimately end up, last as well as empty. What do you have but hollow victories? Basing your life on conquest places you in a very lonely place when you reach a point in age, when the next guy is better at what you do, or smarter than you. What do you gain from competing with others as iron sharpens iron; competition sharpens the skills of everyone. But who are you in the end? That is the real question, there are so many stories out there of men who spent their lives counting on their abilities to support themselves, only to get hurt or someone beating them out of a Job. They find themselves despondent, angry, depressed, some end their lives because of no real hope for the future. I want to be really, clear in this point, “without Jesus in your life everything you do is meaningless, no matter how good you believe yourself to be, it is not good enough!”

We as God’s creation are born into sin because Adam decided the fruit of the knowledge of good/evil, Eve gave him, was good to eat, even though the Lord said do not eat this fruit, for surly you will die.

More tomorrow love in Christ Jesus.

  1. Good start. Don’t forget that healthy competition does help us to stay healthy and rehab. As you quoted iron sharpens iron. Jesus walked all his life and started every morning on his knees. He continues to inspire us to stay healthy in Spirit, Mind, Body and relationships. Keep up the good work. I Love You!
